Boston vs Montreal – Old Rivarly in Round One

By admin

The Boston Bruins take first blood in their round one matchup against the Montreal Canadiens.  One of the oldest and most anticipated rivalries in the NHL, this series will be one of the most watched of the round one matchups as Michael Ryder returns to face off against his old team.

Game one goes to the Bruins by a score of 4-2, in a game that was entertaining and for the most part looked like it was headed into overtime until Zdeno Chara scored at 8:35 of the third period to give the Bruins a 3-2 lead.  The Bruins scored an empty net goal to seal the victory.
