Full stop. He titles a story "What's Wrong with the Royals?", and then concludes that there's nothing wrong with the team??? How about the fact that they couldn't sort their goaltending out all season long, even though they had the luxury of having three goalies at their disposal? None of the netminders knew from one game to the next who was starting. That doesn't really instill a lot of confidence in any one of them. What about a lack of defence?? The Royals had to move one of their top fowards (Steve North) back on the blueline for the last part of the season because they didn't have any defence. What about losing Steve Hynes, who ended up being a pretty good player with the Red Wings once he got off the Royals' sinking ship? And let's not forget that the Royals finished dead last in the standings again this year. For Kearsey to say that the players just don't give a darn about the regular season is a complete and total joke. Tell that to the guys who wake up Monday morning with cuts, bruises and aching muscles. They don't give a darn about the regular season?!?!? For a guy who's got a background in hockey, Kearsey sure doesn't seem like he knows much about the game! Pathetic! Dave Kearsey is an absolutely horrible sports writer. Full stop.
