The 2018-19 season has the defending Herder Memorial Champs playing in the East Coast Senior Hockey League (ECSHL) but their debut was not what was expected as the Conception Bay Blues trounced the defending champs by a score of 8-1 on Saturday night.

After leaving the Central West Senior Hockey League, the Clarenville Caribous were hopeful that their successes experienced in that league would carry over to the ECSHL.  The Conception Bay Blues was having none of that as they extended their winning streak to 3 games.

In the win, the Blues got two goals from both Drake Dower and Ryan Power and single tallies from Brandon Street, Lucas Lush, Cody Batten and Tyler Adams.  Mason Reid had the lone marker for Clarenville.
