Re: Questions for PureMad???
Noticed a couple of issues with the CEC this weekend: 1. Why is there such a problem with water around the nets at the beginning of periods. Seems that the linesmen are using the big squeegee more than they used to. The water ends up behind the net as a result of the Zamboni. The crease area and in...

Re: Churchiill
I wasn't at the game, but watching the NTV report, it did appear to me that there were a couple goals that I bet Church would love to have back. He's a big goalie who plays a positional/blocking style, and so it's crucial that all the "little holes" are closed up, i.e. "five-hole"...

Re: Cee Bee's coaching
While playing at a high level certainly helps a person's understanding of the game, different situations and how to counteract certain styles or strategies, it's important to remember that one can have all the understanding they want, but if they can't communicate their plan to the players, or get t...

Re: Herder in Hr. Grace- Finally!!!!
You make some good points bojangles and puckit, this shocking upset and the fact that CBN can play in their own rink now instead of the Mile One might just be enough to keep the CeeBees and maybe the whole league alive. If it wasn't for the Cats organization raising hell about last year''s Herder v...

Re: Resignations
Another interesting topic is the calendar and the number of players in the NHL born in the first three months of the year rather than the last three ....Another of the great sub-plots of hockey and how you can be washed up at the age of 12 in Canadian hockey. Sooooo what you're sayin' is that me an...

Re: Newfoundland Fans
Never said Terry was a bad person. Never said he hasn't become a good guy or that he's never done anything good. Never called anyone an ugly name. That said, I think Terry has grown up a lot, as evidenced by his completion of a University degree. I was trying to focus on the positive aspect there. I...

Re: Newfoundland Fans
Bart, I do know Terry. Well enough to know how far he's come as a person. He is to be commended for that. Never in my post did I say he wasn't a great team guy. Specifically, he lacked focus and was known as a complainer within the Habs organization. He wasn't exactly well liked in the WHL either, h...

Re: Newfoundland Fans
Terry has/had a lot of positive attributes. No one can question 110 points in the WHL. That said, if Terry's brains were as big as his balls, he would've had a much longer career than he had. Terry should be providing kids with the advice he was lacking as a player. I'd suggest something along the l...

Re: Mount Pearl Announces intentions to return for 2013-2014
fyi mount pearl also protected 25 players this year thus 125 of the best players were protected not 100 as stated. when the pearl dropped out there was a dispersal draft with all teams gaining from the system. Did not realize that Mt. Pearl protected 25 players Petr. Thanks for the info. As for the...

Re: Mount Pearl Announces intentions to return for 2013-2014
Titan, Never said I agreed with that many protected players when the Flyers entered the league. The argument could be made that there aren't 125 Sr. A quality players available on the island as it is. With four teams protecting 25 players each last summer, that's 100 players off the table. Assuming ...
