Re: Team of the Decade

The Cats have to be one of the most successful teams in a decade in senior hockey .. they have been in the herder six times in thelast nine years.. They have won five herders and a national championship namely the Allan Cup faster than any other team in Nl hockey history . Not to mention the decade...

Re: Breakers VS Cats Game 3

IM not questioning anyones right to wear a full face mask , just wondering if Cadigan was injured .. in the meantime anyone wearing afull face mask for whatever reason should certaintly be more aware of where their stick is going , that's my take on it .. Not trying to stir the pot .. stay tuned .....

Re: The Cataracts as an organization!!

2011 Allan Cup win Clarenville 2017 Allan Cup win Grandfalls Nothing since, Where is a NL rep, lots hype then they did play, if no NL team no local coverage...... Well in 2017 the Cee Bees won the Herder, so you would have to ask them why they did not represent NL in 2018. Then last year the Caribo...

Re: Can the Breakers Bounce Back

Not sure I agree with the more fans logic but it definitely comes down to the money side of things, unfortunately. You could be right about the fans tho, The Shore usually do well. I think they were hoping for more fans. I assume the Jack Byrne holds more than the one in Mobile right? What's the ac...

Re: Can the Breakers Bounce Back

Simple answer to the question in the subject line: No Why not , I think if they can get a grip om those rebounds ,they can do it no problem . The question I have is how did the Caribou’s go down in a sweep to Southern Shore. Cats are missing two key players and still won two on the road games. I fo...

Re: The Cataracts as an organization!!

In order for hockey outside the overpass to exist players have to get some compensation. Not like on the Eastcoast you can go to a rink and be home in your own bed that night. Players even those from the Central area are not going to leave St. John's for the weekend and not get compensated. If all ...

Re: Cats @ SS Breakers Herder Final Game 2

Well if the Cat’s organization can afford it that’s their choice. If that’s the Cat’s organization’s prerogative they should be playing in a semi-pro or pro league, not posing as an amateur team playing for a trophy that is meant to be awarded to amateur teams. For 15 years now the team that won th...

Re: Cats @ SS Breakers Herder Final Game 1

Lost to the overpaid stars. Whiffen and Yetman are certainly earning their 1300 a game in the Herder plus their all expense paid trip down south if they win. Breaker Breaker 19. I thought you were gone away. I am wondering ru coming to the Joe next weekend to see the mighty Cats raise the Herder ag...

Re: Cats @ SS Breakers Herder Final Game 1

Pat Yetman and AJ Whiffen are getting paid by the Cataracts though. Seeing as how attendance was down this year in the Central West, how did the Cats afford all the high priced talent? Did the town council of GFW give them another hand out? Or did they take the proceeds from the minor hockey cantee...
