Re: Where is the New League ?

What I'd like to know is whether there is any talk with/between CeeBees and HNL as where they will fit in with the existing pool of players already playing on Senior "A" teams in CWSHL(3 team's 'worth' of players - approx. 70 players) and in the ECSHL(4 team's 'worth' of players - approx. 92 player...

Re: Where is the New League ?

Look for NL born players Jordan Escott, Justin Pender, Brandon Hynes AJ Whiffen and Ryan Desrosier ( if he wants) to be at the Growlers training camp. ECHL has a salary cap of $12,400 a week, meaning the average player salary is roughly $550 a week. These players are used to getting more than that ...

Re: Where is the New League ?

Yeah... What kind of people would leave a decision like that so late..... Oh wait a second..... Didn't the Cee Bees get a letter on August 28th telling them they were out of the league??? Pretty sure the East Coast Sh*tty Hockey League didn't form until October. The herder sweep was less than a mont...

Re: Herder predictions

29’s Caps won’t win a game. Even with SS best two forwards in Nicholas and Pye, and CBS’ best D Power added they will be lucky to score a goal I would imagine Pye and Nicholas will become permanent members of the Caps next year. Great organization to play for with good coaching, not sure why they w...

Re: The Caps are coming...

I think a realistic expectation would be something in between the herder finals last year and the year before. Caps team is really no stronger than they were last year when they were the 4th best team in the east. I don't see much difference in Cville even with the loss of imports. I predict a coupl...

Re: What Now in the East?

They have nice rinks in CBS, Paradise and Torbay for a fourth team. I think the stronger hockey and fan interest will attract quality players to the new league. Would you rather play in front of 25 people in twin rinks or 300-600 in Hr Grace and Clarenville? Would you rather contend for the Herder? ...

Re: Herder: Clarenville Caribous vs St. John’s Caps

Yeah I think it was a big mistake starting Bray. Downer is clearly the better goalie. Really can’t see the Shore taking this series, especially now that they’ll probably have to do it with out one of their better players in Kavanagh after a hit to the head in the first few shifts of the game. Look ...

ECSHL Website or Lack of Website

Would love to be able to see a schedule or a boxscore on the ecshl website. Have the people in charge lost total interest in this league. Do we have to wait for Hockey Eyes to tell us what the score was? No schedule for the league finals??? No boxscores for previously played playoff games??? What a ...

Re: Caps- Blues ...What a Game!!!

Caps team is no better than is was last year. League is just weaker in general. They ran up scores on teams with short benches. IF they get to the herder finals I suspect it will look a lot like the herder finals two years ago.

Re: East Playoffs

I don't suspect the ECSHL executive expected players interest in the league to be so low. The reason the ECSHL are having trouble filling out a roster is because a lot of the quality players in the area choose not to play in this league. Just look at the player turnover from last year to this year. ...
