Re: 3 on 3 overtime?

Well the games last year between the Cat’s and Flyer’s were hard hitting games and great to watch. The games out your way Canonball were soft and played with no interest. We will see what teams are around after Christmas! Exactly royalcat. I will gladly watch the Cats over and over. Sure beats sittin...

Re: 3 on 3 overtime?

I think the 19 or so fans who show up to Twin Rinks on a Friday night would be thrilled with the 3 on 3 overtime.

Re: State of Flux!!!

Everything is being looked at apparently. And a bunch of guys are playing in the Intermediate League just to get in shape. As for Zekies comments, it certainly baffles me how HNL can control everything in minor hockey right down to the number of minutes a goalie plays in a Peewee D tournament, yet w...

Re: The cats and flyers

If this were to be an actual league, the versions of the Cats and Flyers we would see would certainly be different. The rosters would likely include a few more locals, and a few less players coming from SJ who for the most part were the higher paid guys. I'd welcome any news at this point.

Re: What needs to happen

The quality of hockey peaked about 3 years ago. I spoke to a player a few days ago who's mid 30's. He said he can still manage to play only because its much slower than when we had imports. So it seems like Senior in Central is dead. The kids who come to the rinks on Saturday nights are the real los...

Re: Breaking: No Senior Hockey this Winter

A friend of mine who sakted with the Eagles in practise decided he can't commit to hockey. I asked him where the Eagles players were coming from because they had problems with numbers last year.He said from Gander. He did not indicate if they were Flyers or just hockey players from Gander working o...

Re: HNL meetings?

Pretty sure they would all play in the 2-team league for the right amount of money.

Re: HNL meetings?

There's always been $$ available to certain players that's for sure. I heard there's plenty of incentive for certain guys from SJ to stay in the City and play this season.

Re: HNL meetings?

must be a few dollars floating around out East as I was told quite a few Flyers/Cats have been approached over the summer.
