Re: THE CATS ARE BACK!!

This is great news... even at this late date this is important so as to send yet another message to the east - to say nothing of our faithful , deserving fans - that our central teams and our fans are for real and we all want hockey. And, though the east teams really do want us to 'die' and fold so ...

Re: VOCM Story on the Herder

Does lionsden have a 'back channel' to unannounced developments on hockey in central yet to come?
There are still rumours circulating out here in central of the Cats and Flyers salvaging a 2019-20 season...

Re: VOCM Story on the Herder

"Hockey 'Lies" , as many on this site refer to "Hockey Eyes", regularly describes the east league as "amateur hockey", in attempts to somehow discredit hockey in central as not amateur... It is such petty jealousy! Hockey NL regulates all 'amateur hockey' in the province - from minor hockey to senio...

Re: VOCM Story on the Herder

ECSHL President,Jack Casey, is quoted in the VOCM story as stating that the ECSHL is "amateur" hockey , and that by extension(?) that if a player is paid they cannot claim to be an "amateur"... Sorry Jack but that kind of analysis is completely wrong. HNL regulates amateur hockey ,(and its predecess...

Re: Bussy & Paul

Sorry ,Lionsden, i added the note re "Rule" issue for BousFan inquiry... As to Bussey's release, I do not know personally that the Cats actually signed a release for Bussey, but I do know that the Executive did get a request for a release, awhile ago now from Bussey for release. I believe my comment...

Re: Bussy & Paul

The Rule,(btw,) on ineligible players is in HNL Regulations 107 and 115. 1. "Title" to player on a team's roster/protected list, per Reg.107, remains in that player's team unless he is released by that team ... 2. A player is considered an ineligible player for another team unless officially release...

Re: Bussy & Paul

Yes, on Bussey playing out east, I am pretty sure he is 'legally' playing ... it was an item of consideration by the Cats awhile ago now... As to Cats fans and Holding Seat sales, I am confident that the core fans - some 400-500 will be excited to buy tickets and see some competitive hockey, if the ...

Re: Bussy & Paul

I do not know about Paul, but I was told that Bussey wanted to stay home and play with the Eagles, and the Cats approved his request and released him... By rule no player on a teams' protected list can play for another team, no matter a different League, UNLESS he gets a release first from the team ...

Re: DEAL STRUCK WITH CEEBEES THERE WILL BE HOCKEY

Neither the Cats nor the Flyers "have priced themselves out of the market"... The two teams here in central are the only teams with a market - fans that is! The ECSHL teams have never had a market - ie. fans. The ecshl don't actually have any fan interest for their games.... 50 would be a big crowd ...

Re: Breaking: No Senior Hockey this Winter

Stadium, fans do matter for the central teams - All the work of organizing the teams in central have fans right at the centre. All the work to have high level hockey with paid players is to attract fans. The money from game gates is big part of each teams budget. In the east no such approach exists....
