AESHL COULD grow and prosper if....

I really can't believe this Joe guy is letting the AESHL go down the tubes. It is so simple to fix. You have CBN, SS, and MT Pearl who can easily support a senior team the way the teams are supported in the WCSHL. I'm not sure about Bell Island, but for sure one more competitive team called the &quo...

Re: Salary Cap

To Redmack...I have loyalties to no team in the east of west...well, not any more. I am just a plain old senior hockey fan now. I was a Wings fan for a short time last year. That's how I got my info...from the inside of your Wings organization. I know they spent at least 100 thousand dollars more th...

Salary Cap

Seems to me, with all the talk about players going after the big bucks, the team with the most to spend will win it all. Last year the Bous didn't spend what the Wings spent, and they won.....but this year could be different...especially if some of the Bous big guns get lured elsewhere for bigger mo...

Re: Jr. vs Sr., etc....

That's totally understandable. I certainly wouldn't want my kid travelling all that distance either. There were, however, a few players over the past couple of years managing to get back and forth. A major pain for sure. And with no pay like you say. All points taken. Just unfortunate for the teams ...

Jr. vs Sr., etc....

Just noticed a thread on the St. Johns Junior chat about all of the players going to their league from the Central and West Jr league. Amazing how all the Jr. players want to go East and all of the Sr. players want to come West. I can honestly say that it is the first time this (West) side of the ov...

Re: Predictions

I am fine there man. Just stating the obvious about the comparison of 2 totally different leagues. I've watched both JR A and Midget AAA. There is no comparison. JR A is much better hockey. Anyway, I'm done with this topic. It all started when I said how a standout goalie in NL Midget AAA, who now p...

Re: Predictions

Well, I guess when you call yourself "Da Man", that pretty much says what we're dealing with here. You do not have a clue about hockey. Darren Langdon played Junior A for quite a while. I think he went from that to AHL(?) and then to NHL..someone from DL can confirm this...may not be exact...

Re: Predictions

OK. First of all, I just threw it out there about Whiffen playing with the cats. Being from GFW, he would be a good fit. He played a game with Deer Lake 3 years ago at 16, so he can certainly play at this level at 19. Anyway, don't fret...it was merely a comment. Not like he is signing or anything. ...

Re: Predictions

WOW. Some of you Caribou fans are really sensitive. I don't want to be around when Churchill has to go elsewhere to live, and can't get back to play with the Bous. Be a day of mourning for some, for sure. And, I didn't say Whiffen was as good as Churchill...but I'll say it now. Whiffen is every bit ...

Re: Predictions

Nobody knows who will have who, who will win what, and how anyone will perform. All I know is that GFW produced one of (if not the) best goalies in NL in AJ Whiffen. I am not sure what his plans are for next season, but he would be the Cats' answer to Churchill. Awesome goalie. Played his way to num...
