Re: Eagles and Caribous

Of course it's distance, some players simply won't make the road trip for free.

Re: Cats vs Gander League

There was a 'rule' in the HNL Constitution that required 10 Home and 10 Away games for a Season... But, I believe that was amended by vote approval at HNL recent Provincial Meetings to lower those numbers . I think was changed to a 'total' of 14 or 16(?) Either way this negates any chance of the Ca...

Re: Eagles and Caribous

Don't the Sr Eagles have a full junior affiliation, why don't they use call ups from there? Isnt that the point of an affiliation? I hope for the Bous sake its a forfeit win if not this is ridiculous Why should it be a forfeit? The Bous canceled games at the last minute last year because of "p...

Re: Cats vs Gander League

Isn't there a rule that a league has to play a certain number of games to be eligible to compete for the Herder? I thought teams/leagues needed to play at least 20 games before they could compete for the Herder. I may be wrong but it seems I remember hearing or reading that somewhere. It may have ch...

Re: Eagles and Caribous

Looks like the game Saturday may not go ahead in Clarenville as Eagles are having issues icing a team. One can assume final exams for those in post-secondary institutions could be the reason, maybe? Wasn't there an issue with the Eagles having enough players the last time they traveled to Cville?

Re: Can the Breakers Bounce Back

Hacking and wacking at guys who are beating you wide or in front of the net, not laying a body check, are penalties. Hitting is apart of the game and more so in playoff hockey, but taking 8-9 strides from other side of the ice to hit a guy is a penalty, sorry. There is bias in central and it’s obvi...

Re: Breakers VS Cats Game 3

In order to beat AJ on a regular basis you need guys in front of the net. If you are going to go there you have to be able to take the smacks that go along with that type of game and stay disciplined, that's no easy task. From what I've seen from the Flyers and so far the shore they just don't have ...

Re: The Cataracts as an organization!!

Could the Cats have sent a team to the Allan Cup this year if they really wanted too?

I think I remember the Bous going in place of the Ceebees one year, I may be mistaken.
