Question everyone who participates in this forum...Honestly does anyone see a problem with senior hockey...What im hearing at the rink is that the new league is already started....The cataracts and flyers will be on the losing end of it...Im hearing a new 5 team league will start between caribous , ceebees , torbay , mount pearl and paradise,,,and im hearing they dont care about A or B status...so the cataracts and flyers better pay attention to whats going on....these rumors could be true...so grandfgalls-windsor , gander should start looking for 2 more teams in that area and start a more local league....

you are exactly right and thats part of the reason the cee bees are out. The only way they were allowed back was to pay for the other teams bussing to hr. grace, so how many trips will they make to clarenville with no fan base and no fund raising.The cee bees finally got a good group together and raised the funds needed and for that they were no longer welcome in the st. johns and area league.

All teams and managers really need to pay attention because there are things happening and this whole thing is going south very quickly...You can't continue to travel to Clarenville with no fans and lose 14-2 and expect it to continue...wake up everyone and lets rebuild everything next season...

Things have to change and the sooner the better .The way it looks now is that both the East and West leagues are struggling,we know that the East are not drawing fans and the West teams are in bad shape as well .We need the fans in order to continue. It will be too late for the fans to bitch and complain about no hockey when we lose it and there is no one to blame for it other than ourselves.. People are coming us with all kinds of excuses because they didn't go and watch a game ,I am hearing them all and it is not because of the price of a ticket ,time to get off our assess and go support our hockey . The people who got this going is not in there to make money for themselves they just love to see out hockey talent have a game and enjoy watching it Get out and support our game

i agree with you totally...But unfortunately it is imploding and it has to....next year brand new league in the east...it has already begun according to what im hearing....6 teams clarenville , ceebees , torbay, cbs , mount pearl , cbs.. it is a rumor here that has been rampid, gander and grandfalls better get prepared....

Got a gut feeling that this “new league” won’t ever materialize. I’ve heard this over the past ten seasons, and for some reason I don’t believe it now this time.

I got a feeling that the aeshl will not Finnish out the season ,teams are now cancelling games

What cancellations in East ( Avalon east) are you talking about Cannon?

He probably means some of the remaining East-West games and any games involving the Shore or Torbay for that matter. Neither team can muster up any where near a full bench and I highly doubt both these teams will be around by the end of the season (maybe one will). Guys are pissed off and not playing because of all the needless drama with the Cee Bees at the beginning of the year. Chris Sparkes and Steve Yetman were both drafted into the Central West League a couple days ago (Retirements are hurting the Eagles, right Hockey Eyes?) The little ray of light we had after last year's season here on the East Coast (full rinks in the playoffs in all series, an up and coming Cee Bees team winning the Herder, few players starting to come from the Central West League to play in the East, etc.) has been ruined by the likes of Joe Maynard and a few other "men" with the mentality of children. Absolutely disgusting.
