Privateers sending equipment to Hopedale

The St. John's Pennecon Privateers, in conjunction with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, are holding an equipment drive at the Goulds Arena during our two playoff games this weekend (8:30 PM Saturday, February 18th and 10 AM Sunday, February 19th). All equipment will be shipped to young, aspiring hockey players in Hopedale, Labrador, an area where many of the young hockey players are in need of equipment.
The Privateers are calling on everyone who comes to the games this weekend to bring along an item for the drive. Equipment can be new or used. Smaller (novice-pee wee) is preferred, however all equipment will be accepted. Anyone who brings along an item will receive free admission to the game.
The Privateers will start the drive by donating 15 pairs of hockey gloves. We look forward to seeing you at the rink this weekend and thank you in advance for supporting this initiative.
