Yes.. your right Canon...but I believe there was a team in the mid 2000's from Halifax that put together a AAA team to go to the Allan cup and never played in a league. I think they were call the Halifax Canadians.

2007 or 2008 I think, not sure how they made out. I was working in N.B. at the time and there was talk of sending a team from there but it never materialized , I believe the Halifax team got in because they were the only entrant

2007 Halifax Molson Canadians , had players like Rob Sneath ,Gary Zinck who also played with the Clarenville caribou so and also they had Mike Fougere who played with CB I think . I think that there was another player or so that played in the NL league .NL teams were allowed to have two imports but Clarenville were allowed 3 . Oh yes Sutherland played with Halifax and after that with Deer Lake

Couldn't remember what they named the team. Spent a little time in Bathurst N.B. watching the Titans. Also used to watch a bit of Senior Hockey in the province. B'y Jesus Sr. Hockey was tough there back then, cold stadiums, 200 people and everyone screaming in English and French on and off the ice. Poor attendance, almost everyone that used to go was related to a player in some way, emotions ran high and look out.
