As many know I'm a huge supporter of the AESHL in this series but this is getting stupid to the point of madness. With the exception of Whiffen doing his part it's the pickups doing the scoring. This is becoming a laughing stock. I call a spade a spade. I was also critical of the three team CWSHL, cancelling 25% of the season and going straight to playoffs, etc. CeeBees are a win away from winning Herder with an AllStar team.

Ceebees played great game...played the trap, clogged the neutral zone and keeped bous to outside most of the game...it was a greT game of hockey with great goaltending on both ends.

all star team? I'd say the only one who could get a regular game out of the 6 is Cadigan and would he even make the top 4? In Clarenville?

Look at CeeBees stats. Series would have ended last night without the pickups. Fact.

Legitimate injury pickups I don't mind but this picking up 6 business is crazy.

Couple of thoughts.

I think any of the top three teams in the AESHL would have put up a fight this year with the right pick ups (definitely not condoning the pick up situation; different conversation for a different day).

Shane Boland is a great hockey player who could have went a lot further as a hockey player if he decided hockey was more important than softball.

Ian Moores is a great at coaching blue collar hard working teams like this one. Give him a really skilled and experienced team and the Caribous would have won the Herder in 3 or 4 games in my opinion.

And to end off, just because of sniper34's comment Dan Cadigan is a stud and could be a top D-man on any team in this province. He even made his defence partner, Doug O'Brien (who was drafted to the NHL) look human this year in the AESHL at times.

I agree with what you say but shouldn't be allowed 6 pickups.
