Thought Id start a topic about the Cats roster for 17/18.

No imports this year so the Cats lose Gallant and Circelli?

Will Gillis come back for this season? with the league allowing a import tender.

Will the core come back for another season?

Will Tom Coolen be back behind the bench?

Territory picks, any diamonds in the rough coming to play in GFW? How many territory picks do each team get?

Any rumors/news would be great!

I believe Tom has taken a job in Poland with Ted Nolan once again. I would hope that Gillis is back. I would expect to see a big part of the core back with the team again this season.

Glad to see that Senior hockey will be around again this season, Winter is really long in these parts and fans of senior hockey look forward to their weekend hockey games.

I have to admit I was a bit of a skeptic about these interlocking games even happening... but I think it's a great thing and kudos to those involved in making it happen. The more teams the better.

Travis Rendall is in London Ontario at Western doing a physiotherapy programme. So he is not playing in NL hockey this season.
Gillis does look good to be back in goal with the Cats - I believe he is really excited about coming back ... and wanted to win a Herder to go along with his MVP Allan Cup last season. A great young man who is a good influence and positive force on the Cats and in the dressing room.

The Cats had better release some names pretty soon. Holding tickets go on sale next Monday and there is still no word what players they have. I'm hearing a lot of people say they won't be renewing.

Expect a number of player announcements between now and this weekend. I'm hearing that most players are returning and that there may be some additional locals added to the roster. We'll see if anything comes from tonight's draft.

Big loss if Brent retires, the Cats already lost Gallant and then to lose Brent thats two big holes to fill on the back end.

So that's Circelli, Gallant, Randel, and Lewis gone
