I have to agree about picking up players! Play with what you got! The Cats Alan Cup team last year had as many from away as they did from their original team! Good on them for winning but it certainly wasn’t the same makeup of a team as the Bous with the Cee Bees pickups the year they won! I didn’t agree with what the Bous and the Cats did at the Alan Cup in 2015 either!

Who has Bouville added to boost their roster? Haven't heard any names.
They're not permitted to add players .. ..
Why is that Silverhawk??
Answer: Bouville Snipers

This topic cracks me up, most of the posters will go to their grave defending the right for NL teams to add strengthening players for The Allan Cup but let another team add way less players to make the Herder competitive and those same posters scream foul. At least they are adding players that have played in the same league unlike the joke of Allan Cup teams that were allowed to pick up players from anywhere in the country.
Titan, let's compare apples to apples. All Allan Cup teams operate under the same set of rules, some do and some don't add players. Is it right to add players that don't even play in this league, I don't think it is but that's the rules. As for the Herder it is only the team from the Avalon permitted to add players. Last year the reasoning was the Central West teams had two imports players plus the option of adding an import goaltender so the Avalon East were permitted to add six strengthening players. This year the Central West can only have an import goaltender and the East Coast team are permitted three strengthening players. Jason Churchill went up through the Clarenville Minor system and this year he's considered an import because he works in Halifax and flies in on weekend, go figure.

Last years Herder was all about AJ standing on his head. This years Herder Downer hasnt been able to do that, which is why it wont last long.

Anyone hear if the Caps were permitted to add additional strengthening players to replace Nicholas and Pye, hopefully they have a speedy recovery and if so who?

Are both players playing
I thought I read somewhere they were done, Nicholas with a rotator cuff injury and not sure what Pye's issue is.

According to Wally Bray's post game interview with the Packet after Sunday's game Pye has a separated shoulder and Nicholas has a concussion and injured rotator cuff.

Looks like we have no east fans .I guess that this is what's expected seeing as there was only 25 to 50 fans show up to the games all year
