Congrats to the caribous on winning the Herder and to Rebecca for being the first woman to win a Herder as a coach . Although the bous did have some hard battled games they did only lose 2 games out of 14 . This goes to show how strong this team got together and played every game with the heart and desire to win .The bous beat the cats 4 games to 1 which I don't think many people expected to be over as quick and then came the flyers ,I thought that the bous were in deep with this team this year and I did not expect them to put the flyers out in 5 games .the flyers were looking good all year but they were a bit weak on the back end . As for the east team I did expect for the bous to take that series but that team did put up a good fight . Sad to see all of this coming to an end we had some good hockey while playing in the west league .Thanks Ivan and company for another great year hope to see you all again next year

A great big thanks to all the team management, for sticking with it through some very tough times .
You have all done a great service to the community, and a great service for Hockey, right accross the province

Congrats to the Bous. Well deserved. Certainly not much of a real "test" and nyone who thinks it was wasn' watching the same games I saw. Even game 3 when the Caps outshot Clarenville the game was never in doubt. Most of the shots were from the outside and handled by Churchill quite easily. Yes he did make a few dandy saves (Ryan, etc) but SJ never really had any pressure.
The Caps managed to stop the Top Line but Clarenville got secondary scoring from the Reid's, Mahoney and even the veteran Crann. This is what made them successful against the Cats and the Flyers as well. Pender "stuck to hockey" as George said, and was great.
Hopefully there's something to "talk" about on here next season, if not it's been fun while it lasted.
