Eagles killed a full two minute five on three and then scored an empty net goal to beat the Conception Bay South Blues 5-3. The Blues took a five minute major with a couple of minutes left in the game to kill their chances. During their five on three they didn't play well and never really controlled the ice like you would have expected.. The Eagles cleared the puck out of their defensive zone four or five times.
Nobody at the game . Both teams had full benches.. No money changed hands . Joe Maynard was there watching it all.
I didn''t win the 50/50 but I talked some hockey and the future of the league and I had some fries. Eagles need to win the back end of the home and home Saturday night in CBS..
