If you are a CeeBees fan you may know the reason the CeeBees were chucked out was not just paying players. There was another issue much more important to the other teams in the league. It was " the gate". How many people attended the games ....THAT is what got the other teams up in arms.

Well Hockey Lies( not just paying players ) LOL.. So paying players isn't important to your amateur teams just how much money the league can get from the gate at the herder games .. Stop kidding yourself and everyone else , its all about money .. The Cee Bees carried the east league for years with the money they gave the league when they were winning all those Herders .. You guys cant get over the fact that the CEEBEES joined the west league .. You have to go outside theoverpass to see a half decent fifty, fifty draw .. You wont even go up the Southern Shore to watch a game of hockey , whats it beneath you ?? Id rather listen to the talking goat than listen to your bull it makes more sense .. stay tuned ...

Why would that have made a difference? We're they in a revenue sharing agreement then?

Would I like to see them back in the league? Absolutely, the rivalry they had with the Shore in 2009/2010 was absolutely amazing. It’s really too bad their fans have to suffer like that, but it is what it is.

Yes they did fan for years they filled the Mile One and made thousands of dollars which went into the Avalon easts coffers .. That money kept them going for years . it wasnt fan support during the year that kept the league alive .. stay tuned..

Got ya, and I can see why the Stars would of wanted to lie. They kept that league out there going forever and were probably getting fed up with giving away their money to other teams. Revenue sharing is a nice concept but not when one teams bringing in all the money and just giving it away for nothing I can see why that would drive them nuts.

Really ? So, after years of keeping the league alive, they we're kicked out because they didn't give the other teams enough money ? Or was it because they paid players ? Or because they have a new arena ? Or maybe, just maybe, they were too good for the rest ? Perhaps more players wanted to play with them because they were treated better, fans and the community supported them and they weren't surrounded by such childish nonsense. I don't agree with revenue sharing at this level. You want revenue, generate it yourself. Get the right volunteers in place. Fund raise all year. Look for sponsorship opportunities. Put a good product on the ice. Win some games !! Make the fans feel that they got value for their money. Don't get me wrong, those are hard things, but as you can clearly see, some teams are successful in achieving this.Hockey Eyes wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 11:03 amMr. or Ms. Bottom Line ...

Sounds like......., you're successful, we're not, so we don't want to play you anymore.

There has to be revenue sharing . That's the key to keeping an amateur league alive. The thing about the CeeBees is that in the opinion of the OTHER teams. They did wrong. HNL didn't kick them out of the AESHL . They kicked themselves out basically and it wasn't about slipping twenty bucks to a player. There is no point arguing this on line . It is true a lot of players and fans didn't mind a few dollars going to players but the players aren't running the league. The TEAMS threw the CeeBees out...not the players. The record will show that EVERY team was signatory to the decision. Every team. BreakersFan above had a nice post that touched the heart of the matter.
The CeeBees and the Blades left the AESHL for greener pastures but got the flick out of there. The CeeBees got themselves back into the east league but when questions arose about revenue they found that in the bank of goodwill...they were overdrawn.
I hope there is a way back for them but saying they were somehow robbed is .....not correct. In the opinion of the teams in the league ....they chose a path .

....and the amateur league continues to do the same thing, paying of some players as the Ceebees supposedly did. What a mess !! Again, we can't compete, we cant win......so get lost. You can put all the lipstick on it that you want.
