AEfan there are players in the east who definitely get paid $$
There might be 2 or 3 players in the East worthy of an actual pay cheque outside of some gas money, sticks, equipment. If anyone is paying East players, they should ask for a refund. The days of the CeeBees and the Shore rivalry are long gone. Those teams had talent worth paying.

Don’t think that’s a fair statement. I’m sure the cats or gander would sign Tibbo, Hodge, Adams, Nicholas, cadigan and many more

I think Cadigan might just be one of the best d-men in NL senior hockey. If he had of played away for years like Short and Pender and received the kind of coaching and development those guys did over the years I think Cadigan would be hands down the best.

The Breakers got great talent . I seen the highlights , and noticed most of the Cats goals were rebounds . If the Breakers want to get back into this series, they better get a grip on those rebounds .

The Breakers fans are having a hard time understanding that they can’t compete with the big boys, the Cataracts. The Breakers beat teams like Badger, La Scie, Flatrock years ago but those teams were not on the same level at the Cataracts and it shows.

I'm thinking you might have a very good argument there....he's got the skill, no doubt about that.

Just did a check on the Cat's website. Of the 30 players that played on the Cats this year or were on the roster. 16 from GF-W, Bishop's Falls, Botwood. 1 from BC who lives and works in GF-W. 1 from another central community. 2 from the Deer Lake area and 10 from out east. I would say that's a pretty good ratio. I doubt if there are many teams on Island have so many locals! Cheers.

Do we consider locals people from the other small towns around GFW or just GFW. Cause if that's the case then the Cats have Whiffen, Dalley, Loveridge and Hoffe. That's it.

Local would be GFW and surrounding area...and Brent, Gill, Stone, Hurdle and Weir all live in GFW.
