People here complaining that the same 2 or 3 teams are winning year after year, When you look at it the teams that are winning or were winning are the teams that have great found raising and a great fan base that allows them to get the best players they can.You can go to St. Johns and see the Flyers in there selling tickets , you could go to Hr.Grace are buy tickets or chase the ace when the Cee Bees were in and I'm sure the Boos and Cats were doing the same ,but the teams that stay at the bottom of the pack set back and collect enough money from the working teams of their league and then complain about it. If I am right the Cee Bees even had to pay the buses for the town teams when they went to Hr.Grace.So my thoughts about the money and paying players (within reason) is if you want to get into the Herder finals instead of watching ever year get of your ass and try raising your own funds instead of riding on the backs of the teams who are.

Can you imagine the money the cats would have if they had the population thats on the Avalon

All of this talk about buying the Herder is getting old and ridiculous. Both of these teams, as well as the other five teams, are made up of local Newfoundland and Labrador hockey players. If the Cats had three or more imports from outside the province of very high skill sets as in past teams, I could maybe understand you being upset. But ALL teams are on an even playing field here with local hockey players. The Cats have a great organization and they always build great teams...this year and in the past. They scout kids who nobody heard tell of, and before you know it, they are stars in the league. They have good hockey people building their teams of local, home grown talent. It’s time for you to give up this “buying the Herder” foolishness once and for all. You are wrong. You’re just upset that nobody out your way has put together a winning team yet. But, it will happen for you very soon. And when it does, it’ll be tough to get it back. I just wonder if the central and/or west leagues will be given the luxury of the 4 strengthening pickups when the tables are turned. Go Cats Go!! (from a non-Cats fan)
It’s hard to compete with teams in the Central West League who have operating budgets in the six figures. That’s the biggest difference here, and it should never be in NL Senior Hockey. If that’s how they want to run their teams join a pro league and forget about the Herder.
Yup. It costs more to operate a Sr team. In central than on the Avalon for various reasons. Tough to compete with teams in the East who don't face the same obstacles. Takes a lot of work. Thanks to Cats exec for doing what it takes to compete.

Every area in this province faces different obstacles. Don’t use that excuse to try and make it seem okay for one or two teams to have operating budgets of 100’s of thousands of dollars competing against teams who operate on 10’s of thousands of dollars.

Why exactly am I clueless? Because I don’t agree with your opinions and beliefs when it comes to senior hockey?

And everything you post on here is the gospel. Give it a break. You don’t agree with someone’s point of view so you tear them down, hurl insults, insinuate everything they say is a lie. It’s not the first time I’ve seen you do that to someone on here. You know people are allowed to disagree with you and still have a valid point, right? You know we live in a country with free speech, right?

I'm not disagreeing with your point of view. You've posted numerous comments here that are simply false. There's a difference.

Provide proof that the things I’m saying are lies. You can’t.
