Maybe if the crowd in Grand Falls Windsor had the same drive and effort to grow the economy and prevent jobs and young people from leaving the area over the years as they did in winning a few Herders and an Allan Cup you wouldn’t need to bring in players from out of the province and the Avalon to make your team competitive.

The only out of province people that are involved in this years herder are with the Breakers . The coach and #61 Kennedy .. stay tuned ..

Not sure how you can call two people who live and work in this province ‘out of Province’

Neither one of them came here to be involved with the Breakers. Josh Lunden played with the Ice Caps and ended moving back here and marrying a girl from here. Kennedy was taken in the draft by the Breakers. Go back to bed Tomcod you’re out to lunch as usual.

So it's ok if the Breakers draft someone that's considered good building but when the Cats draft their players it's buying a herder?

When this account gets shut down, names your next one hypercriticaleastcoastfan19

When the guys the Cats are drafting are telling other teams not to draft them because the Cataracts are willing to pay more $$$ it’s just another way of buying a Herder. And don’t give me the crap of no one wanting these players. Socks and Lindstrom grew up in Mount Pearl. The Blades would have moved heaven and earth to have those guys but couldn’t pay them what the Cats were paying them.

What a classy guy Josh Lunden is. A former AHL’er who came here to live giving up his time to coach the Breakers. Not playing and taking the spot of a young local guy either like a certain former professional playing-coach out in central.

Maybe these are staying with the Cat’s organization cause they were given some money and a chance to play with a great organization. All the teams out east can do the same but it’s not just money keeping the players away from the east.Ask anyone who has ever played with the Cat’s and they will tell you how well they are respected and treated.

Why, when you have a year to fundraise, why doesn't a NL team play for Allan Cup ?

Ask any person who plays sports...it's more fun when your playing for a winning iorganization who looks after its players....I don't care if it's hockey, baseball or soccer.

And before you get all huffy puffy, I'm not implying that either team out east doesn't look after their players..the tipping point is a chance to win every year and for the last few years it was an opportunity to win a national championship...which alot of them did in 2017.
