They were all there at practice this morning except for Gallant, Fergus and Lindstrom. They'll be in GFW later this afternoon. Hearing that Yeyman, who was doubtful, won't be available for Allan Cup play. Work related.
BIG loss!!!! Yetman is a great and smart hockey player.

yetty is a great set-up man and will be missed with regards to slowing down the play when he's on the ice. he also played pp and pk with Fergus in league play so he will be missed in those roles as well if given the minutes. I'm sure there are guys who will step in to fill the hole though but as a cats fan I'd rather see a team regular than an affiliate. work and family come first as they should though.

as a hockey fan I hope any time we are represented we play within the guidelines and put forth and are competitors. not just take a team that shows up and gets embarrassed. we just saw that in the herder finals.
This is bang on.

Any team in any sport that would compete at this level would use the guidelines afforded to them to maximize their chance to win. This is a semi-professional tournament comprised of teams who employ players to play. It isn't equal ice time, the buzzer doesn't sound to change lines.....

If a player can't make the trip he'll be replaced. Likewise, if a player can't compete at the highest level he may be asked to sit as well. Every one of these guys know what's up, it's not a surprise to anyone.

While it would be nobel for teams to roll with their original teams the brutal reality is a team from a small population would have difficulty completing and the name of the game is winning. The rules provide an opportunity and NL teams take that opportunity, and good on 'em.

The team represents your province, people should look st the bigger picture and support your representative, whomever it is...
