Basically what Ian trying to say is ref can call a goal when ever he wants weather it's a goal or not and that decision would stand?

Yes sir.
At any level if the ref called a goal a good goal despite it being 8 ft offsides. If he blows the whistle and drops the puck . Even with video evidence the goal stands.

I'm not exactly sure to be honest lol. Maybe it's mainly a thing like a noted objection ?

A missed offside call and what happened here aren't even close...in a 3-3 tie the team challenged the goal and the guy wouldn't even discuss with other officials...he didn't do his job and that along should win this protest

Exactly, we're not talking about missing a close offside or did pick completely cross line where talking about a puck that went in illegally under the net and official obviously didn't see it failed to consult with his fellow officials

Ever notice in the NHL if ref doesn't see how the goal went end that he don't point it a goal until it's checked out?

A goal is recorded when the referee signals the puck has crossed the goal line. That is why goal judges have no authority...never did.A goal is a goal when the referee says its a goal....and it is a judgement call. In the NHL there is video review ... not in the Herder. As cruel as it sounds...it is a goal because the ref says its a goal.
The game moved forward and ended and , I presume, the ref signed the game sheet and that was that.
