How is the playoffs working in both leagues and what are they doing about teams who never played all their games this year?

Gander and GFW are playing a Best of 7 starting March 2nd here in Gander.

No idea about the East 'division' and how the playoffs will work. I expect it to be any combination of Clarenville/CBS/Southern Shore to play in the finals but who knows what could happen.

Are the Eagles and Caps still playing in the playoffs knowing they can't play for the Herder?

I guess the idea of the win % went out the window when a couple of east teams decided not to show up. Just curious, would a Flyers/Cats final for the Herder have been possible under the original format?

I think so Titan, it was going to be a 4 team tournament. Similar to the Memorial Cup.

Sure there was. That is why it’s not happening. The best two senior Newfoundland hockey teams do not belong in the Beer can league so it could not happen.
The real Herder series will start in Gander in a couple of weeks and the winner of that series, most likely Gander will bring home the Herder and anyone who thinks differently is totally out of touch with hockey.

Once again the Herder will go to the CWSHL.East will have to wait another year for the Herder.Guessthey will have all summer out East to try and figure out how to get the cup back under the overpass.I think the Flyer's vs Cat's series is the Herder playoffs. You will see good rough hockey there.Once play goes out east much one sided hockey will be seen

Heard that the team that comes out of the east are allowed to pick up 4 players from within their league . Meetings soon to hash it out

If so don’t count out the east team from winning the Herder
