Perhaps it is because they know that if they don’t support the team the town will step in and take funds from taxes to help out the team .this way they can give what they wantroyalcat wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 5:19 pmThe Cat's maybe upset about not having teams to play with this winter but you will never hear them complaining about having enough money to support a team.Every year the Boys are always complaining out not able to come up with money to complete a full season.Maybe they should follow the cat's and fund raiser all year. I have to say that the Cat's do have the best organization in the league.Gander has been the next best in the last 2 year's.Forming a team is an all year job,not just when summer is over.

Hit the nail right on the head with that one. Can’t be many other towns around the country willing to give 10’s of thousands of dollars to their Senior Hockey team. The only thing the Cats care about is winning at all costs, they don’t give one damn about building and sustaining senior hockey in our province. Shame on the Cats.canonball wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 7:43 amPerhaps it is because they know that if they don’t support the team the town will step in and take funds from taxes to help out the team .this way they can give what they wantroyalcat wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 5:19 pmThe Cat's maybe upset about not having teams to play with this winter but you will never hear them complaining about having enough money to support a team.Every year the Boys are always complaining out not able to come up with money to complete a full season.Maybe they should follow the cat's and fund raiser all year. First things first, there's a really good chance that when the town of GFW helped out the Cats back in 2010-11 ish. They it was labeled a donation and was taxable. They probably didn't actually use that much of the towns tax dollars. Also if you guys knew your arse from a hole in the ground you would think for a moment and realize that by keeping the team here in 2010, they drew crowds of fans in here over the years and made that money back and the community was better off for it. (Hotels, gas stations, restaurants) places like this have been busier because there is still SR hockey here in town.
And lastly Dex still crying because you don't know who everyone is and everyone knows who you are? Hahahaha you baby.

Don’t see anything wrong with the town helping out the Cat’s back than.As already stated the cat’s brought in a lot more money to the town later.Dex don’t complain about the town of Grand Falls Windsor standing up to help the cat’s .The town of GFW is always there to support the teams and their fans.Maybe if other towns did the same you guys wouldn’t always have to be crying to your fans to come out and buy tickets every year. The Cat’s organization always showed their appreciation to their fans from the beginning,by given out little treats like shirts or free pieces of pizza to fans. All the years I have been in another town I won’t say the name but they never gave the fans any thing till they were in trouble. But it was to late than the fans had seen the colours. So to me the town of GFW and the Cat’s organization know how to run a team and include the fans.We will see who has a team playing next year???
