What is the shape of a hockey puck?: triangle

Fri Mar 13, 2020 4:01 pm

Given Hockey Canada's announcement cancelling all sanctioned games the argument over whether to play for the Herder or who should play has been rendered moot. Hopefully everybody can agree this is for the best as we all wrestle with the implications of this world wide pandemic. Stay safe everyone and hopefully we can get back to arguing again next season if there is one. Also, as we realize there are much more important things to worry about we can make an attempt to interact more cordially and respectfully with one another in the future. Take care.

The cancelling of Senior hockey in the province by HNL is a kind of "poetic justice" for the 2 CWSHL teams. Try as we might we in central just couldn't convince interested teams in the east strongly enough - who apparently wanted to help - to find a way around the machinations engaged in behind closed doors by certain of the 'controlling teams' in the ECSHL , to prevent the CeeBees from working with the CWSHL to make interprovincial hockey work ... to save the CWSHL and have the Herder up for championship competition! (Even the Breakers apparently wanted to be part of the hoped-for interprovincial play),
Now with the coronavirus 'twist of fate' no one gets to play for any championships, Herder or otherwise.

This is such a bad take. Referring to the Corona Virus pandemic as "poetic justice" for a group of hockey teams and players is just awful. You really should consider deleting your comment.

How wrong can you be ? He didn't refer to the Corona Virus pandemic as 'poetic justice".He referred to the cancellation of Senior hockey as a kind of " poetic justice." You do aseyeseesit

Thank you for 'seeing' the point of my post -- that cancelling senior hockey was "poetic" justice for the CWSHL , who worked so hard and did evrything possible to make sure the central teams did not get their hoped-for season cancelled....
The point is , it was the SJCaps and their allies , (as I posted: referring to them as "the 'controlling' teams..."), who were the root cause undermining in the 'back rooms' the central teams from getting a chance to play in the HNL/Central league's proposed interprovincial set up!

Pathetic. Let's just pretend the cancelling of Sr. Hockey wasn't a direct result of the Corona Virus pandemic and that the two are completely unrelated. C'mon people let's be better than that. Aseyeseeit's gloating over the situation was uncalled for. It was a terrible thing to post.

Again. I made this original post to try to bring some civility to the situation and reached out to others to do the same. Unfortunately it has again spiralled downwards quickly. Sad.
