Any games going ahead in central this weekend or is this just not getting off the ground?

If the 'resurrection' actually is pulled off by the Cats and Flyers, the intended date of first play is Sat.evening Feb.15th in GFW and in Gander on Sun.afternoon Feb.16th - next weekend, not this weekend.
The latest I have heard is that Friday(Feb.7th) is the target date to lay out the details and verify that the planned 12 Game Series will actually start.
The indication ,from my sources, that I was given when the Series start last weekend was cancelled, is that if things got in place to actually start, the Series would still be 12 games, with the time of play being extended by a week, (for the week that got cancelled)...

It doesn't make any difference what the date is. Two teams arranging to play a few games against each other so fans have a chance to get out and watch some senior hockey. It's funny how this had got so many people triggered.

Will these two teams expect a chance to play for the Herder this year?

HNL had said repeatedly that there will be no Herder competition this season due to the east coast teams only agreeing to play against each other.

It’s a provincial wide trophy, why would one part of the province expect to get to play for it when they wouldn’t include their greatest competition?

Seen the Herder last night while In GFW. I’d say if the east wants to play for it, they’re aren’t going to get it back to play for. Cats will hold it hostage.

Not the East's fault that no one wanted anything to do with the Cataracts and Flyers. The WCSHL didn't exactly welcome them with open arms either or enter into any type of interlocking play with them despite the rumours on this site of that potentially happening.

Let the winner of your little series play the winner of the ECSHL for the Herder, I think thats a fair solution.
