Re: Allan Cup worth it?
Yes, Oh just a fan. It would be nice if the Cataracts had all locals but that is simply not reality. In fact, even going back to the 1950s even the Andcos were not all locals playing for the Herder let alone the Allan Cup and they were very successful. As for too many imports? Well, in Atlantic Cana...

Re: Royals,red wings,jets,mariners may return
The organizers of this league will find it VERY CHALLENGING to get local players of a sufficient calibre to attract more than a 100 fans a game. These communities have been aging for years and the number of young people who could be fans or players has gone down significantly over what it was 20-25 ...

Re: What is Everyone's Fav Import to watch?
Right now, a lot of people would say Fergus and is impressive to watch. However, in order to go up on the all time list of favourites to watch, he is going to have to put on a show in Manitoba and win the province's third Allan Cup and the first one for the Cataracts who by the way were first formed...

Re: Playoff ticket prices are to high
The NL playoff ticket prices are in line with the norm in Ontario and the west. It costs over 20 dollars to watch a WHL or OHL playoff game and the reg season games are around 18-20 dollars.

Re: Time to Retire Mr. Langdon
Twenty five years ago in Saskatchewan, a similar situation arose with a former NHL fighter and tough guy who retired from the minor leagues and wanted to come back to his hometown and play with the local senior team. In fact, it was with deep reluctance the league allowed him to play because of the ...

Re: Next years rules for imports.
How about no limits on mports at all? Make some of the NL players compete for a spot now that they are earning big bucks (for doing nohing in some cases). You are spending all this money on players salaries anyway who cares who the players are just get the maximum performance out of everyone with an...

Re: PIERCEY GOAL
I don't kmow if Piercey's goal is the best ever for the Cats maybe for this season. He is definitely a skilled player nobody in their right mind could argue otherwise. Only time will tell. if people are silll talking about it in years to come then perhaps yes. As for other Cats's best ones, the figh...

Re: Embarrassed....
I don't know Mr. Crocker and I am a long way from Conception Bay. If however, what is said is correct, and Crocker responded to a fan in the way he allegedly responded, yes, disciplanary action up to and including dismissal, by management is necessary. Do you think a store employee would be allowed ...
