Re: What needs to happen

As I see it, from direct knowledge, the west coast teams do not want to go back to the openly organized paid players level of hockey, ( whether they be 'local' or import ). FYI, I am not sure there actually will be a west coast league, as a league under HNL Constitution rules must consist of at leas...

Re: WILL THERE BE SENIOR HOCKEY IN CENTRAL 2019-2020

It doesn't look like the CeBees will find their way back - old guard crowd who have been running things need to be changed up. They just won't recognize they have been going in the wrong direction, their credibility at zero. Like in most organizations in life they need new 'blood' , if they really w...

WILL THERE BE SENIOR HOCKEY IN CENTRAL 2019-2020

HNL June meetings to chart the future for Senior hockey for next season is coming up fast, ... and hockey fans in central are very concerned that Senior hockey in central will be no more! Maybe a couple of the East teams will finally make the official pronouncement that their teams are dead, and let...

Re: The Telegram

In the League Schedule posted on the NSHL website, the Caps are playing in GFW on Sat. night Feb.9th and in Gander Sun. afternoon Feb.10th with the Blues playing in Gander on Feb.9th and then in GFW on Sun.afternoon Feb.10th .

Re: Player Additions

The two NSHL central teams have their final Draft for the season next week. Applications to the Draft close on Sunday night,(Dec.16). There may be a player or two file in that Draft. The Draft has not been a very significant factor as a source of players for the CWSHL in the past few years... though...

Re: Flyers @ Cats Game 2

The original NSHL Season Schedule, ( to be exact), did not have Gander and GfW playing 6 straight games...(and to be perfectly accurate they will only be playing 4 straight games). Though it's not all bad playing each other 4 games over two weekends in a row for generating some rivalry 'early'? The ...

Re: Blues and the Breakers

I have communicated with Jack Casey,(I believe he is "ECSHL" President), and he has explained that the various east teams 'reps' , who had volunteered to keep up to date things like stats, standings and rosters etc for east teams, have been having technical difficulties and a learning curv...

Re: Flyers @ Cats Game 2

Oh Just a Fan, the only conclusion that can explain your completely off-base assessment of the hockey today between GFW and Gander, is that you must simply be a sore loser/ Cats fan who doesn't like to lose... Gander has at present a faster-skating team than the Cats, and for 2 periods they had the ...

Re: Flyers Vs Cats ( Sat Night Updates)

Titan, you indicate I "did not refer to last year's stats", but I did. I noted that Danny Wicks was 3rd in League scoring last year, and that Michael Hynes had the 3rd highest points per game(1.93p/g) of any player in the League. And, if you want to compare the top core 3 or 4 players betw...

Re: Flyers Vs Cats ( Sat Night Updates)

Just to make a point on the quality of the Cats core -- Brennan was a Scoring Champ, Steve Yetman was a leading scorer on every team he's played on, including his time on the Cataracts three-peat Herder Champs of 2014-2016; Michael Hynes, former captain of the Royals, is a 'pro' play-maker. Lat seas...
