its a bit early, but is or could a team from NL be going to AC in april 2019 ??
It is being held in Lacombe Alberta, (were Bentley Generals). Its a long trip to make but it is worth the trip, even just for the holiday.
IF there is a league here next year to compete in

With the state of senior hockey in this province these days, I'd be surprised if somebody went. I guess Clarenville would be the first pick as a representative though, right?

As of right now it would be Clarenville vs the Elsipogtog Hawks for the Atlantic Spot in the Allan Cup. No teams have registered in PEI or Nova Scotia and New Brunswick went to having the North East Senior Hockey League champion representing the province the following year in Allan Cup qualifying. Last year's event was supposed to be in New Brunswick, wonder if they will give it to them again or have them come to Clarenville for the qualifier?

There may not be many provincial/regional qualifiers this year any way No teams from BC or Quebec, one from Saskatchewan (Rosetown) which may get a bid since Hockey Canada probably would not want to have three of the four Senior AAA teams from Alberta qualify. Manitoba may have two teams playing for a spot in the tournament (SEPT and IDC). The Allan Cup Hockey (five teams) champion will get the Ontario spot. It looks like there may only be 14 teams competing for the Allan Cup this year. Quebec is looking like they may get back into the Senior AAA level of hockey as a senior league in the Outaouis region is starting up this year with hopes to compete for the Allan Cup within a couple years and hosting the event within a few years of that.

Clarnenville is next in Line to compete this year and if unable to go let a willing team go from the island..expensive trip, nice to win..nice bragging rights..especially in lacombe (host)..lots time for fundraising.

Clarenville would be the Newfoundland/Labrador rep.

Elsipogtog is not competing for the Allan Cup, a new team the Haut-Madawaska Panthers is registered at Senior AAA and will be the NB rep.

Ontario is down to four teams (Dundas, Hamilton, Stoney Plain, and Whitby, (the Brantford Blast are up for sale and are sitting out the season)

Manitoba is up to four teams (add Norway House North Stars and Ste. Anne Aces along with IDC North Stars and SEPT.

Rosetown is in it from Saskatchewan.

The same teams as last year from Alberta. (Lacombe, Fort Sask. Innisfail, and Stony Plain.

A team from BC did step forward, the Kelowna Sparta.
