If the CWSHL want to play, find a third team in the Central West that is willing to work with the Cataracts and Flyers to make hockey work. The five teams in the ECSHL don’t want to piss away 100,000’s of thousands of dollars a year chasing a Herder and clearly don’t want to travel to central every other weekend or participate in interlocking play. The Caribou’s left your league they felt the model of the league was unsustainable for them and many other organizations must feel the same if no one wants to join the league. Time for the Cats and Flyers to change their ways or deal with the fact no one wants to play with them.royalcat wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 8:22 amIt is called Newfoundland Senior Hockey! Not behind the over pass hockey.Don’t get on with that S#&t that the east is not paying players, and they should give the players money for their time. You guys out east have such a big population and just don’t have the commitment to raise money or do the work that the CWSHL has done to get sponsors. Why should theCWSHL be punished for having such a committed group of people working on their behalf?
HNL meetings?

There is much discussion here about the CWSHL but that league really has vanished. There are TWO teams left and a clear indication nobody from the east wants to drive across Newfoundland to play hockey. It isn't a fund raising issue it is a " we aren't interested " issue. The only group that has indicated a willingness to do it is Mount Pearl and their problem is .... they don;t have a hockey team.
Here is a modest proposal.... The Cats and the Flyers might consider funding a third team . Call it Onion Cove or something and have them be like the Washington Generals who play the Harlem Globetrotters a hundred times a year. Grand Falls, Gander and Onion Cove could be the new CWSHL and play so the Cats can go to what's left of the Allan Cup that nobody cares about except for a few towns in Sask or Alberta .
P.S. Let the CeeBees back in the east. They will behave.

Right. A lot of interest? There’s 11 teams in the country registered as AAA, the Lacombe Generals ceased operations this past spring. The Allan Cup is dying.
This statement does not add up..The Caribous (a team in this league) have already announcedherder head wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2019 8:23 pmAccording to sportspage nl, the reason why the east league may not be sanctioned is because they won't accept CBN CeeBees into their league (for the third year in a row), no mention of interlocking play or provincial league.
their schedule for 20 games starting October 25th with Home Opener in Clarenville on the
26th October.. Season tickets go on sale tomorrow. Can someone explain whats going on.

This is beyond ridiculous right now. We have a league ready to go, ice time booked, schedule released, season passes going on sale tomorrow and no indication from anyone (other than the Caribou’s Facebook page) about what is happening with senior hockey this year and it’s the 16th of October. Time for someone to step up with some answers, I won’t hold my breath for an announcement from HNL though.
The only conclusion to be drawn here is that there is "No Leadership" at HNL or anyone with any interest in Senior Hockey.. They are just "setting back" and waiting for it (the league) to fold.ECSHLFan2019 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 3:05 pmThis is beyond ridiculous right now. A couple of years ago those same individuals were Ok with "an on-ice decision by the referee
that AWARDED the herder to the Cebees. Everybody including the "last Ceebee player to touch the puck" knew what happened.. BTW that Ref has not shown up in Clarenville since.
