SUNDAY

The Ocean Choice Southern Shore Breakers exploded for five second period goals and handed Torbay a 6-2 loss in Labatt Avalon East Hockey League play Sunday night at Mobile. That win keeps the Ocean Choice Breakers four points behind first place CeeBees and two points ahead of third place Mount Pearl.

Wayne Walsh, Ray Dalton, Berrick Loughlin, who played his first game of the season after he was reported to be with Clarenville, Mike Druken, Dan Curran and David Hutchings all shared in the scoring for the winners. Chris Blackmore and Mike Gambin scored for Torbay who made a trade this week.

Paddy Brown was in goal for the Shore and made 22 saves while Chris Feltham made 22 saves in nets for Torbay.

The Torbay team sent their number one goalie Lee Noseworthy to Southern Shore for Jarred Rumsey.
