Blast, The $$$ are there so take it. If you had the chance to get paid to play...you would turn down the cash? Ya,right.

For someone to say ohhh I am saying this because the Cats are winning then your wrong. I don't blame them the rule is there and they are taking advantage of it. But Take all the rosters cut every import or even back to 1, and the teams will be exact but only there will be 3 more local players who play for the game and not for the money.
I personally have never paid to watch a SR hockey game and I never will, mostly due to the fact that it goes right into these overpaid babies pockets, who change teams every year where the money is. No shame at all, I will never pay my 12 dollars so good ol number 55 can come to NL to play for money and not for the love of the game.

Blast, I just got a email response from Gary Bettman. I asked him to put a rule in for players that are playing for money and not the love of the game. He responded with "there will be no NHL hockey as of NOV 29". Blast, when you go get a hair cut, do you pay the barber?. Do you tip the waitress who servers you food?. So whats the problem with paying guys to play hockey, for a night out? Don't take this personal, but Brad made a few dollars in the WCSHL. More power to him. He has the talent, so get the cash for it. Nothing is free today in this world.

now thats a good post
go cats go
IFas you said you dont attend any hockey games how can you pass judgement on something you dont even watch ??? AS for local players & import players getting paid, I can assure you that some local players get paid more than some import players & i can assure you that all the locals are paid. THE days of loyalty to team are long gone, unfortunately. SO BLAST97 go take in a senior game & get with the program you might learn something & maybe enjoy watching # 55. THEN maybe someone might take you serious ????Blast97 wrote:Was the Joe packed 5 years ago when there was just Stone here and it cost 8 dollers to get in? He didn't say he didn't attend games, only that he has never paid to see one. There is a difference.Tomcod wrote:

Wow, I just have to comment on a few of your points:
1) the Joe wasn't packed 5 years ago when it was 8 bucks. Maybe close to it on Saturday nights, but certinaley not like it is now - sold out every game.
2) I guess according to you, this group of babies that change teams could also include Oake, Sibley, Walsh, Budgell, Bishop, Little and Rice. Like I said in an earlier post, I have nothing against any of these guys and I wish them all the best. Perhaps none of these guys count because you're buddies with all them, I guess you're only talking about the Delaney's !!
3) You publically admit to never paying you watch a senior hockey game and never will, but yet, you expect people to pay thier money to watch your junior team. Great show of support !!
Blast, the league has changed over the past few year, and yes it's probably because of the import rule, but that seems fine with the majority of the fans. They would rather pay $12 for a great product than $8 for a half decent product. Bottom line is, if people didn't like it, they wouldn't go. How did you feel when the St.John's Maple Leafs or the fog devils were in town ? There wern't many locals there either.
