Doesn't really matter, even if Brodeur was in there. You cannot compete in this league with 14 or 15 skaters. It's not like the Flyers are trying to save cash for the playoffs here. Whitehead couldn't make it, they flew in Corcoran, sounds like they are bringing Campbell in for one game tomorrow. They need players with no way to get them. Any ideas?
Nope, no ideas. Thats one of the flaws of the draft. Even if a team can get players in the draft, they are not necessarly the quality needed to compete in this league. Its an issue that will have to be addressed by the league but I dont know how it can be fixed.....
One way is some type of free agency! Once a team owns a player for, let's just say 5 years for arguments sake, then that player should be able to choose to go elsewhere or remain with.his team. Parity is a must or you will see The Cats and the Bous playing each other every weekend!!

This is so sad though Geno...a team with every thing going for it and great support and this string of bad luck with players could destroy all that. This is an issue that needs to be looked at now. Flyers can't go down like this too much good work has been done.

Don't blame the royals if the other teams can't bring in a full crew, it has happened to them in the past, i agree it is bad when teams are turning up without a full team, if this keeps up fans will get turned off.

You really don't know whats on the go do you? Chubb and Boland could commit last year when they were signed. Players situations change from season to season. The league needs a system that gives teams the ability to adapt when these situations arise.

If the Flyers get some injuries they may be in a situation where they can't play. This needs to be fixed now.

So where does one find these players to sign Blades. It was a hell of a lot easier when teams could sign just anybody they wanted from anywhere. This is partly related to how the rules were put down when the Flyers entered the league. There was no way in hell the existing teams should have been allowed to protect so many players. ;-)

You didn't ENTER the league under the same circumstances. The way it is set up now you just can't sign players. Like I said earlier, if this continues in this manner, have fun driving back and forth to Clarenville!! Why would you be adverse to maybe giving up a couple of players in a free agency type system for the good of the league? The Flyers cannot get enough players to ice a full team, got nothing to do with money, got nothing to do with fan support. It's got to do with the rules that are in place!!

...Yes Titan,You are so right! The "MOCK' draft and the import rules are such a farce!...And the Flyers do have a disadvantage as a expansion team...Sign who you want and 4 imports across the board!!!!
