I agree , They will need O'Brien to play almost every game now, But if he does they will be hard to play against and beat.theriault was a very solid D but maybe he couldn't committ on a regulay basis.canonball wrote:Their d have now got a bit weaker and if O'Brien and Gosse can`t play the rest of the games and into the playoffs that might bit them in the ass.. When O`Brien is playing I guess that his ice time just went up.. they just dropped two imports, so will the other 2 make that much of a difference ? But they do look like a strong team Just look at what the people that will not come out to watch a game are going to miss ... Looks like some great hockey

There aren't enough people in the stands this year for a team to be able to pay top dollar to two top flight goaltenders. It's the new reality in the league.#1BousFan wrote:I dunno what to think of this trade, If Kennedy wasn't happy here than it was no point in keeping him, Thanks Kennedy for everything u have done, You are a awesome goalie, Wish u all the best with the Ceebees, Who is going to start in net when Church is working?
Not sure but don`t the bous have all of their season passes sold out ?

Simple answer Rog wanted to be an everyday starter, and I cant blame him. 24 game schedule just not enough games to keep 2 Number 1 Goalies happy or sharp. The opportunity presented it in Hr Grace and the deal got done, good or bad for both teams, everyone has an opinion. I wish Rog all the best and feel our Goaltending is still in the capable hands of Church and his backup young Murley from Marystown. Some will say what happen if Church gets hurt etc: I think U can say that about most teams. Our GM made a deal that both him and I are happy with, a good player in Chad Earle and a 2nd rd pic in next years draft. And I believe the Cee Bees are happy too, that's what deals are all about. if Rog shines and beats us along the way, I will be one of the first to congratulate him. Just a good goalie who wanted to be an everyday player. No disrespect to any of the other Goalies, the leaque has a lot of good ones, but give me the big decision in the big game and Id still take Church anyday .

Jason Churchill has been the heart and soul of the Clarenville Caribous for 8 years. He is the main reason why we won the first two Herders and also played a big part in the third. He is the main reason why we won the Allan Cup and he received tournament MVP honors. Jason is still as good as any other goaltender in the league, (in the executives opinion) and if you or anybody else thinks that we are now going to throw him to the wolves cause of his work schedule then all I have to say is, with all due respect, Im glad your not the GM of the Caribous! We have more respect for Jason then that.Sergio wrote:True and by moving Kennedy you took care of one part of the chemistry problem on the team. Methinks though that you may have moved the wrong part of the problem.geno wrote:
never had a choice!
As you know Geno, there are some in your organization that agrees with me on this, although I don't expect any of them to say so publicly. ;)Jason Churchill will be the Caribous number one as long as he wants too and as long as he is able to compete at this level!
Well said Geno.

Hockey pap i never saw u around this weekend but unless u were working I'm sure you were there. Jason Churchill sure showed the fans in Clarenville that he's still got it. Two great games this weekend for him and several outstanding saves at the game today including a couple that left the Blades bench just shaking their heads! Adda boy Church......

From what I have heard, Churchill was the difference this weekend. Some of the saves he made were definite game savers.
