Royals were out-smarted and out coached once again. Deer Lake knew they were short on D, and sent Easton after their best D-man Rogers right from the first shift of the night. AS usual they get sucked in halfway thru the game and Rogers is thrown out with 2 majors to boot. DL ties the game on that powerplay and Royals are left with 2 quanity D.
Also, despite spending most of the night in his second home, the penalty box, Maxwell was still on the ice late in the game in critical situations. Some of the calls against him were questonable, but regardless, keep him on the bench. He certainly did not contribute positively in any way. Deer Lake must have had a great laugh after this game, -- sucked then in again.
I am a loyal Royals fan but after 3 years of blowing games because of a lack of discipline, I can't take much more and many many other fans feel the same way. I really thought this year would be different, but it sure doesn't look that way.
On a positive note, the Royals do have a good core of a team. I really like this new D man Bennett, he is a keeper. If they ditch Maxwell for a quality import and get all of their D playing, they can compete.
Tip: Disipline, disipline, disipline. -- Is it that hard ?? Maybe for once, we should antagonize one of their better players ------------------------- wake up
Royal in familiar place again LAST!

polaris i couldnt agree more, maxwell cost them tonight,u cannot take 5 or 6 strides after somebody passes the puck, and then smoke them,i know a couple were questionable, but he got the rep and thats whats gonna cost him all marginal calls will go against him,so really he cant catch u when u got the puck its clearly evident,he should really go,maybe this will be the new gm first movepolaris2 wrote:Royals were out-smarted and out coached once again. YEA JAKE EASTON ROGERS GOT 5 FOR FIGHTING 5 for kneeing and a game
My take on it was rogers accidentally high sticked Easton with no call. After Easton went after Rogers and got two mins. for starting the fight but in the little scrap rogers KNEEED Easton. This is my unbisased opinion. That was why he got two 5 min. majors.
Watch it harem.. Don't count out the royals yetHarem Scarem wrote:Thanks to the Wings shoot out win tonight the Royals are in the basement once again of the WCSHL.... The Wings have more wins so that moves them into 3rd even though both teams have the same number of points. Crazy how the Royals fell from the top so fast!
and like you and your buddy tommy said on here numerous times.. THE REGULAR SEASON IS NOTHING.. But wait, nevermind, that was when your beloved almighty red wings were 0 and 5!!
The wings and royals are tied in points
But yes, i agree with you, i expect the royals to finish last. They need better goaltending and better defense. They got lucky when they landed rogers

Hey that was my point to begin with. The regular season means nothing and that should be changed. A few weeks ago the were talking about the Royals being in first and now look how quick the tables have turned.Danny. wrote:Watch it harem.. Honestly last night's game, IMO was terrible.
doesn't matter shoot out or not.
I'm a diehard royals fan but after last night's game, one has to wonder as someone previously stated disipline is a big factor Maxwell once again spent most of his night in the penalty box. nothing unusual,=
this guy is a goon and if the royals management had either sense at all they'd get rid of him.
You had key players missing as well ; Michael White, Ashley Coles, Justin Barbour.
& if you ask me Steve Richards being a royal ????
He is never going to be able to keep his mouth shut for long.
honestly, it's time for something to be done with this team.
