its clearly not good everyone knows that. its really just typical NL political hog wash as to why this is being done. People looking at their own/ their teams best interests before the game or the league. East vrs West worked before because Southern Shore/ CBN/ Flatrock where stacked teams that were at the top of the East league and could compete. The way the player pool is going now the east is simply not up to par. the league executive tried to stack Northeast this year but they lost to a team full of junior b players. The Herder is becoming more irrelevant every year because of the same political non sense year after year.
Why can't we be focused on progression and make prudent decisions about the game in this province?
As for the imports they raise the quality of the league and improve the players around them if they are eliminated from the CWSHL local players are going to be in a stronger bargaining position and imports will be replaced by more local players who are not up to par. Level of play goes down, attendance follows, next step is the league. Paying players is not an issue in fact it should be something that is encouraged if they never there likely wouldn't be any leagues in the first place. and it offers players a way to pay for their education or something else.

LThe AESHL champ should not be on the same ice as the Central West Champ. Sad part is, no matter who made the decision months ago for this series to be played, they should have thought about the young men (no matter who won east) that are being embarrassed to fulfil someone's agenda.

I'm from the East, cheer for the East, love to see the East win the series or at least a game of Herder. But I am realisitic tooswoo_05 wrote:I agree 123 I can't wait for hockey eyes to come on here and post he well say the caps outplayed the cats and out hit them what a joke he is
if the cats wanted too they could have run the score same as the 5 th game against the royals just went through the motions. i would have loved too have seen a tighter game but i dont think its going too happen
