The St. John's Caps have added Jeremy Nicholas and Brandon Pye from the Southern Shore Breakers to their line-up for the Herder final against Clarenville that opens this weekend. . They have also added Defenceman Ryan Power from the Blues....I expected Nicholas but i had two other names as pick-ups. Hockey of course is a very subjective thing. This information came from the Caps Twitter feed.
This topic cracks me up, most of the posters will go to their grave defending the right for NL teams to add strengthening players for The Allan Cup but let another team add way less players to make the Herder competitive and those same posters scream foul. At least they are adding players that have played in the same league unlike the joke of Allan Cup teams that were allowed to pick up players from anywhere in the country.

JMO, you should use the players who got you there. Whether it’s the Herder, the Allan Cup or any other competition.titan wrote: ↑Fri Apr 06, 2018 10:58 amThis topic cracks me up, most of the posters will go to their grave defending the right for NL teams to add strengthening players for The Allan Cup but let another team add way less players to make the Herder competitive and those same posters scream foul. Don't agree with picking up players ,last year it was different when the CWSHL had imports but this year they haven't so why pick up players . As for the Allan cup I voice my opinion on the pick up of players for the Allan cup .Did not agree with picking up players outside of our league like the bous done in 2015 and the cats .The way it looked is that if a team could put out the bucks you could pick up any player you wanted . The teams that won the Herder could not compete for the Allan cup but a team could if they picked players from within the league which the bous done when they won the Allan cup and yes they also had less imports than any NL team that won the cup .Go to watch a game in the Allan cup and cheer for a home team where 4 or 5 of the players are rent a wrecks .Rather see my team play with the players that played in the league win or lose
