I’ll almost go as far as to say bring on the Cataracts to play the East winner for the Herder. The players the Cataracts would roster wouldn’t be close to a team like (for example) the Breakers or the Caps of this year. Both of those east teams are much better than last year and advantageously have been playing all season long. Just because the Cataracts have a guy named Whiffen and another named Short and Wicks, doesn’t mean they will do much against this years East league champ. They’ve lost Bussey, Brennan, Gill, and possibly more so not sure what the big fright will be should they play

I agree aefan anyone could win this trophy even if the grandfalls-windsor cataracts did play for it dosent mean that they re going to beat a strong team like the st'john's caps or the southern shore breakers right

While I am obviously an East fan, I do cheer and applaud the Cats and their organization in a normal capacity every year, but this playing for the Herder thing without playing in a league crap is just crazy and stupid

Oh just a fan

I wouldn't bet on that. Revenge is sweet. They will always remember the 4 ECSHL teams who prevented the other 2 from playing interlocking games.

Don't forget 4 of 6 teams in the ECSHL prevented the other 2 from playing interlocking games to keep the league alive. Revenge is sweet!
