What is the shape of a hockey puck?: triangle

Brazil would be a fool to think Gear would want to go back to Bell Island to play. First off they have not signed anybody this off season to help him out. They actually have lost more depth. They only have a few decent players and one star player in Gear. Look at the stats from last year. Gear led in every category and he missed 4 games. It wasn't even close. 31 pts to 16pts, 17 goals to 7 goals etc. Plus I heard he was hurt most of the second half from some kind of car accident. A team having only one player is not going to win you games. If I were him I would want out to. Brazil should fold up shop and let some of his other players move on for a chance to win because we all know Bell Island isn't going to win a herder or a make the playoffs for that matter for a while.

Unfortunately, and no offence to Mithcell, he'd be hard pressed to make either of the 4 west coast teams.

Brazil is a great organizer, and has won in the past. Its sad that the community just can't fill the arena anymore like it once did. Having sunday afternoon games at 3:15 doesn't help matters much either. The crowd that once primed at the rink and went to the curling club after the game on saturday nights, aren't turning out for sunday afternoon games.

I'm sure with the jr. team gone this year, that sunday afternoon game may get squashed, but fans are only coming out to watch a winner, and not a last place team.

I wish them well, however they have a long way to go. If a new rink gets built in paradise, don't be surprised to see the team Wave goodbye to Bell Island.

Only so many times you can watch a team loose and basically have very little chance to win before you start loosing the majority of you fan base. Only your die hard fans will show up then. People who live and breath hockey....not the kids who hate to see their team loose, or the wives or husbands of those die hards.....winning brings in fans and thats the bottom line. If the caribous or cee bee's come out and start loosing their games and gettin blown out, by seasons end you will hardly get half the arena full.
