Any one wishing to tell a small story or memory of Gene's playing time with the Cataracts or any other teams can do so in the reply area when you click on the above link.

Thanks

grand falls -winsor is very well known for producing top quality hockey players throughout its entire history . this is why THE CATS have been a very strong contender throughout their entire history . its great when hockey heros are reconized in this fashion .

Gene is indeed from Bishop's Falls but you are way off your answer to the trivia question. Gene's Uncle Alex is much older and retired a long time before Gene. Not sure of the correct answer but I'm guessing it might be a Faulkner relative with a different last name as I thought Gene and his brother Wayne were the last two Faulkners, having finished playing after the Cats disbanded in 1982. Trick question maybe?
