What is the shape of a hockey puck?: triangle

I would like to express my gratitude and compliment the Grand Falls Windsor Cataracts Management, Coaching Staff, and Players. This being education week here in our great town the local players are visiting the schools to encourage the children about the importance of a education. Greg Hoffe and Andre Gill were at a local school this morning and to see the facial expression on quite a few children, it was a job well done!!!! I am sure this must take place in the other west coast league towns as well, but I am only familier with GFW. Hats Off To The Boys!!!!!! Keep Up The Great Work!!!

Not sure if it is done here on the west coast. Just like to say that with all the money being paid out to these players, there should be more public appearances. I remember when back in the 80s where these players were being brough in, not only for the weekend but stayed for the week and practiced with the team. How can you get team chemistry and gel when you are here for 2 days? Sorry if I may have rambled on.

Not sure how much that happened in the 80's. The league died in 82. But it certainly is true of the two decades previously. You're right though it is hard to build team chemistry when players only get together on the weekends. Different times now. Most "out of town" players have other lives outside hockey, including school and jobs. Back then a lot of the guys who came in didn't have much outside of hockey and the towns or teams would find a job for them to do during the week so they would stay around. Also back then more locals stayed in the community as adults after playing hockey at the minor and junior levels and would become the core of your senior team. The reality is that today so many young people in NFLd move away as adults. Would be great if everyone stayed together for the whole week but that just isn't how it's likely to be anymore. I don't think there is any blame to be laid. it's just the way it is. Sorry if I rambled too...

As said earlier Greg already has a university degree and is working on a second. Sure with his glasses on he looks downright proffesorial off the ice...lol
