Martin Lapointe...simply the best....what a talented hockey player he is...a pure pleasure to watch him perform. I'd hate to see him retire but if he does, all the best to him. He'll be missed but never forgotten by the Cataracts hockey fans. To Marty, thank you for all you have done for us. You are a class act !!!

Did he actually retire or is his salary for next year too expensive for the Cats to manage. I guess the Cats will be folding next year like the Royals because they can't handle the payroll. The Caribous bought the Herder the last two years and the Cats bought it this year.

His wife is having a baby if you wanted to know (he got a call that she went into labour after the game) so he flew home in the morning. he wasn;t sure if he would be able to play the herder.. and the cats payroll is fine they'll be back next year
