And speaking of the Herder Cash Pie...........it should be noted that the pie would be alot smaller if half of it had to be played at the Joe!! HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM??

One thing I can say is I never got into the politics of the sharing of the pie...ie...never took time to ask how it works? I will now though...How is the Herder pie divided?

HockeyGooRoo wrote:Well there you have it. The post makes sense to me. :) So if this guy is renowned for his ability to make himself the star of the show then how can HNL IN ALL THEIR SUPERIOR WISDOM put him in charge of a game like this. TYPICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Instead of you guys walking around with your chests stuck out and expecting everyone to roll out the red carpet upon your arrival, you should be ashamed of the fact that you could allow this to happen by not ensuring that your very best officials are on the ice!!!!

I know people would believe it to be extreme, but I think that when the time comes that a Provincial League to be formed, ties should be cut with HNL. Recruit the best officials and pay them what they deserve!!! Put in a structure that can have sustainability foremost. And take control of the enforcing of all rules. After all what BENEFITS does HNL provide to senior hockey?? They take the registration money, avoid all issues that may make them look bad or where they would have to make a tough decision, come out of the woodwork to enforce their power whenever it suits THEIR interests and take a big chunk of the Herder pie!!! They dont invest into senior hockey and at the highest levels they are quick to downgrade and criticize senior hockey - so once again I ask........What benefit does senior hockey receive from HNL???

Great job guys..........keep up the good work!!!! :)

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CATS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Just when I thought you had a clue your ignorance smacked me in the mouth! HNL is an arm of Hockey Canada, you know - the GOVERNING BODY OF ALL amateur hockey in Canada!! No HNL, no insurance, no officials. Like it or not Roo, HNL is here to stay. By the way, take your own advice and stop whining about officiating. Mr. Ref missed an obvious interference call on the Bous blueline on Philpott's goal too. SHIQ happens, get over it and enjoy your win tonight! See you again at the CEC tomorrow!

LOL I couldn't have said it better about Chili!

The first thing I said to the crowd sitting with me last night, "we are in for some treat with the reffing tonight". They all thought I was talking about Hollett! "Nope, he is even worse than him!"

123 wrote:Here is my take and I could care less who wins the West as a fan of the East League. I just know (like everyone else in the East...especially from reading those from the East's posts today) Chili is the worst referee in NL. He has no favorites (although today Cats fans may see different). He just loves to be in the centre of a $h!t$h0w. Go to any game in the East when he referees and many fans from both teams start making comments about him before the puck drops. We know what to expect.

There will be no consensus from fans about how good/terrible Chili is as a referee because Cats fans are going to hate him and Bous fans will think he is awesome. Look at it this way...most of us (if not all) cheer for Team Canada whether it is Olympics, Juniors, World Championships, World Cup of Hockey, Canada Cups, etc, etc, male or female. I, for the life of me, cannot recall the tournament but it was Canada vs USA. The puck hit the netting behind the USA net and most Americans basically gave up on the play expecting the whistle to stop play. Canada kept playing and scored (that goal either tied game or was game winner...I forget). As a Team Canada fan I did not care how it went in the net or what happened as long as Canada won. Same for Bou fans last night. Had the Americans scored that same goal to tie/win game, I would have been the first to shout conspiracy. We have to remember with bad bounces or bad referees you win some, you lose some but it just totally sucks when you lose that way. It could have easily been the Bous given 2 penalities near the end of the game and vice-versa on the comment. That is my opinion anyways.
Go BOUS Go!
