One thing the hockey fans will not be wondering........if the Clarenville all star team was the best team. Only ones disappointed in their results are your friends at Hockey No Longer.
I must say I am looking forward to the games at the Joe this weekend. What's happening at the EEC there Cannon.

I would not be so sure, if Darren was concerned how costly it was in the game, he would have benched Penny after his stupid penalty in the second that allow the Cats to tie the game up and send all the momentum to the Cats. To have Penney out their with less that 3 minutes left in the game when Darren knew the game was over for them, makes me think otherwise.
You have a point Fries , but Darren sure isn't doing the Royals any favors by letting it slide .

Mean while has the league ruled on this incident ?
Word in these parts is that he was unavailable to play this weekend. So I would hope it will not matter with a possible sweep.

I had a nice yarn on open line with Paddy about that this morning . He didn't like the remarks I said about the AESHL being a glorified rec league .

Now Paddy is very angry at HNL . He tells me all this nonsense will not happen next year.

.... I replied quality product sells its self and Paddy, can you imagine if HNL/AESHL were to rent Mile One .He realized that the Jack Byrne would be a far more appropriate venue for the herder .

Doesn't matter if the player in question "Penney" could not play this weekend or not, his actions from all accounts needs to be addressed by the powers that be, make the right call! If it was a Cats player or Royals or Bous or Flyers, doesn't matter an attempt to injure is an attempt to injure and it needs to reviewed on video tape and used to make a correct ruling for all involved. Can't have that happen in any league especially in a league that the talent/players have jobs/school or families Monday morning to attend to. IMO. Hate to see this stuff happen, glad Croft isn't hurt? Is he ok?

You know what I noticed most about Croft, he's a team player, at the end of the period where is he? Now mind you he just joined this bunch, but Nick is there by the gate tapping gloves, and he's usually the last one off the ice. In my mind a solid D man, good first pass and I bet all money he's a leader in the locker room. Good move Brian.
