I did watch the Brier actually and it was great to see Team Gushue win in St. John's. Hottest sporting ticket this province has seen since the St. John's Ice Caps run to the Calder Cup 3 years ago.

Like I said only for players from inside the overpass and imports Grand Falls would not have won their last 4 Herders. Also, teams from St. John's (St. Bons Bluegolds / St. John's Caps / St. John's Blue Caps / St. John's Mike's Shamrocks) have won a combined 19 Herders so there goes your argument about 14 Herders being way better. The St. John's Caps of the 70's were so dominate they were forced to split into two teams (St. John's Blue Caps and St. John's Mike's Shamrocks) and both of those teams went on to win a Herder each.

I find it funny that after 20 years of professional hockey in this province you still think the AHL teams are made up of a bunch of "imports". What did you expect the Maple Leafs, Jets, or Canadiens organizations to sign a bunch of Newfoundlanders to play for them? Is that what your saying? Are you comparing an amateur senior hockey league to the best development professional league in the world? Is that you're trying to say Tomcod? Because like half of what you say on here it doesn't make any sense.
