Time for the Cats and Flyers management to make an announcement and let the fans know that this is not gonna happen as planned.

Might be better than planned.

Stay tuned.......

Fans are not gonna "Stay Tuned" for ever.
Flyers have lost too many good players to the east and west teams for them to be able to compete with the Cats and not many fans from Gander are gonna watch a watered down version of what used to be some good hockey.
It seems like you may have some information on what is happening behind the scenes, care to elaborate, rumors are better then the silence coming from both organizations

What's exactly happening with this league?

Is it going ahead or not?
I don't recall either team mentioning anything about a league in their announcements. They both said they would play some games against each other after Christmas with maybe some games against another team as well. Where did you hear about this "league" you mentioned?

Both organizations already stated what their intentions were.

Cats posted on Facebook and Twitter yesterday pictures and Xmas "cheer" news of fairly big monetary donations of $500.00 each to the Annual VOCM Xmas Tree Drive and Central NL Food Bank Appeals... The Cats have always also donated to these organizations each Xmas by setting aside a Game Night before Xmas to do their annual Toy and Food events at the Joe Byrne Stadium. No hockey before Xmas this season, but, it was good to see the Cats' "main man", Stan Coffin , in two Facebook and Twitter posts making cheque presentations to the VOCM and Food Bak reps.( The Cats have been totally active in weekly Bingos, Ticket Draws and general fundraising since last season ended in March: Senior Hockey out here in 'central' has always been a year-round project, - for GFW ,... and Gander).
Now let's get some announcement update on the actual dates for the 2020 games for GFW and Gander!

So you know nothing new just as I figured.
I heard today that the Flyers have not booked any ice times for any games in January.
Strange that is if hockey is supposed to start immediately in the new year.
Hope the Cats haven't got their tickets printed yet, might be a little trouble getting reimbursed.

Stood by for another week and no news from the management of either the Cats or the Flyers.
No news is not always good news.
Over before it began.
