Forget it Crann is not going to Mt. Pearl, he'll be back in Cville. Yes he is working in town but has confirmed he has no intentions or interest in playing anywhere else. As for signings I would say the return of Derek Kent to full time status in Clarenville is as big as it get's, still only 27 yrs old, great shape, all his studies out of the way, new family and the chance to play and not travel every weekend was huge in his decision. Mark it down, still a point per game or better from Kent. His return combined with the signing of Hulit and Bragg and another big announcement pending, and a coach who will have control and let players play to the strenghts that got them here, the fans in Cville should be in for another great season. 2 Herders and an Allan Cup as GM in 4 yrs, maybe MacPhee is doing a great job afterall. Coaching! Big names in Mt. Pearl with Randy and Mckimm, now Steve Power and Russ Adam rumored in Hr. Grace, has some people eweing and awing, one person not concerned i'm sure is Ivan in Cville, just another day at the office for him, and when the puck is dropped his team will be well prepared. As for Ryan Walsh, he is definitely coming back and if he can avoid injury will be a pleasure to watch again. Rumor has it that if MacPhee can get another local player with import qualities he would be willing to use a card on a Heavey Weight that badly wants to come here, that can also play 3rd/4th line minutes.

There is a local (to the area) player who may be available and if he does play could very well win the scoring race. If MacPhee can land this guy it would be the biggest signing of the off season and thats a big statement given all the names being tossed around these days!

Not sure if Macker would use an import card to sign a third or fourth line player but the way things are shaping up, the Caribous could end up with not 6 but 9 top forwards!! LOL

As for Kent....will I totally agree with you. A happy, healthy and focused Derrick Kent could easily be in the top 5 in league scoring. He says hes got all his ducks in a row now and is ready to play. Every year he has played he has been a point a game player with the Bous. Even last season he played only 8 games and had 11 pts with 5 goals and 6 asts. Derricks offencive skills will be a great asset to the Caribous this season.
