No it's not the same as back in the old days and no C'ville didn't win a playoff series this year. They were the only team in Atlantic Canada(I stand to be corrected) who requested in to the Allan Cup format. People can read into that whatever they like. It was there for anybody else, but not many others had the appetite for it given that most had a hard time staying afloat in the NL senior league and I would dare say some are still trying to figure out how to pay this year's bills, never mind next year or any long term vision of where they want to take their team.
